School Reviews

Previous reviewer with top reviews has apparently never lived anywhere else. The nickname Harlem falls has zero to do with black people (racist much) as the previous stated. Full of white trash. The school itself has a budget that rivals much bigger and better ran districts yet has almost nothing to show for it where it counts, educational standards and safety. Great, they got a new gym and library-.. The district can''t even keep bus drivers. They''ve left students out in below freezing temps for a bus that never came with no notification outside of an email 45 min prior to pick up. They couldn''t even transport the track team to all their meets without coaches leaving kids behind to make multiple trips with a van or parents taking them themselves. The school also relies heavily on third party''s to basically run their programs. According to them, paperwork for sports etc is too hard--There are constant fights and drug use/overdoses. The grades??? They fall short in the state as well as the nation. Bottom 50%-. If you want your children to succeed outside the district, plan on teaching at home as well as correcting some teachings from the school. Huge tax waste

Speaking as both an alumnus and current parent of a student, Hudson Falls CSD is an award winning school district. It has a great number of opportunities with regard to music, art, and sports that many of the neighboring schools in the county do not. The students at HFCSD are afforded the best quality education and provisions through one of the highest school budgets in the area. We have recently had numerous upgrades and renovations done to all of the school buildings and they are of the utmost quality. With regard to the previous reviewer's comment: I have lived in this town for 30 years and have never heard it referred to as Harlem Falls which is quite a ridiculous term for it as the population is only about 5% black. Our town has been growing and thriving quite nicely in the last few years in regard to both our citizens and commerce.

It's just the people, Hudson Falls is locally known as Harlem Falls, and the minute you get into town, you know exactly why. Low class, white trash, it will NEVER change.
