Both of my children attended Marquez. It is an excellent school, with an accepting and caring environment. The teachers are awesome and the academics are challenging.

parents are micromanagers, school has no accountablility, teachers let their political views be known, to the children. Parents are allowed to use their money and time to influence what teacher they want for their children.

academics are above average, depending on the teacher. Parent are very competitive about getting those teachers. art- is good. PE, not challenging. Faciclities-are old, disconnected and very open, without any security or monitoring who is on campus. Parents, would not follow monioring rules if asked. The school looks good superficially, but if challenged with anything greater than applying a band-aid they are incompetent. There are problems internally too. There are power struggles and comunication problems extending to the District.
