School has made strides to diversify student culture and appreciate students of color and stand up for them in such a white school. Sports teams are so close and so many friendships are made as result, new students are welcomed with open hands and will find that the students are very kind. As a second year student here I can say it was a easy transition and I''ve never been given problems by peers or teachers.

The school is well off in the department for special education students-- that is something I appreciate about Oak Hill. However, the diversity rate is quite low, and it startles me that there isn't anything being done to encourage students of color to be comfortable within a predominantly white school. And the students don't treat each other with enough respect. Kindness, to an extent, is encouraged but there is so much gossip that the teachers don't bother to stop. The staff is great in other regards, but I just hope that in the future there can be strides made to diversify the school as well as better it's acceptance for people of color, and I hope that the school can also have better classes to choose from, as it is a small school that doesn't have much variety.

This school used to be a lot better than it is now. There''s so much drama and the teachers obviously favorite other students. The environment is friendly at first, but the students are rather harsh to each other and the district lets it happen.
