I would not recommend this school if your child is African American. Racial tensions are high in this school. Just Google Puyallup High School and racial tension and you'll see what I mean. I attended there from 95-97 and was repeatedly referred to as Nigger by a number of students and had racial slurs directed my way. While celebrating Martin Luther King Day a student came in the class and yelled Happy Nigger Day. Nothing was done. It is a hostile environment and if you can place your child in a different school I'd recommend you do so.
