School Reviews

5   7/2/2022
TRECA is a great school with staff that genuinely care about helping each student. Staff is available by email, phone, and video call to give students extra help if they need it. It can be challenging to adjust to an online school for some students, but TRECA provides resources to make the transition easier. TRECA offers a Career Tech program, College Credit Plus, and a dedicated Special Needs team. TRECA''s continuous progress model lets students complete coursework at their own pace, giving students the flexibility to take care of family members, work a job, or pursue other interests. As a staff member at TRECA, it feels great to work with people who do whatever they can to help students be successful.

As of 2014, nineteen states still allow corporal punishment – spanking and paddling the most common choices – in their public schools. However, some argue that not only are these punishments physically harmful, they also are disproportionately administered to students of color. As a result, House democrats have taken up the issue in a new bill that would ban all forms of corporal punishment nationwide.
