West View has a chorus and most other schools in washington couty don't. I am sending my kids there. They have great academic features. At the end of the year they go on big trips. Last year the 7th and 8th grade went to charleston for a week. I knew my kids were in great hands. I love the teachers there. Especially Mrs.Hartman. She is an amazing teacher. I reccomend that all parents who read this should send there kids to West View from k-8. It's an amazing school. (:

Teachers in 19 States Allowed to Physically Punish Students
As of 2014, nineteen states still allow corporal punishment – spanking and paddling the most common choices – in their public schools. However, some argue that not only are these punishments physically harmful, they also are disproportionately administered to students of color. As a result, House democrats have taken up the issue in a new bill that would ban all forms of corporal punishment nationwide.
