School Reviews

If you want your child to go to school where only the well to do students and teachers children get special attention or favoritism.. Williston Elementary school is for your child. My child couldn't escape the constant ridicule of her teachers and some students due to her disabilities.. Bullies are allowed to harass.. and bully and some teachers even take part in this act. With no consequences. The complaint is downplayed by the assistant principal. I could never get a face-to-face meeting with the head principal. I was always pushed off to the vice principal. I watched as my child suffered in this environment only because my child didn't want to give up trying to fit in. I expressed a huge interest in parent involvement all 3 years and still was denied a chance to volunteer at this school. Even with a level 2 State and local squeaky clean background check. I was On volunteer list and still denied a chance to volunteer. I have an alternative now. My child is in middle school. Thank goodness for this.. my child went from a C-D average to an A-B average. The alternative school embraced my child with open arms, and my child feels accepted by both teachers and fellow students. Now my child is in an environment where bullying by teachers and students is NOT TOLERATED at any level. My child is happier than ever. I just wanted parents who are considering Williston Elementary school to seek alternative opportunities that ARE available. I just wish I knew sooner. The only reason I give the school one star is because the janitor and ONE substitute teacher was actually kind a child. Otherwise I wouldn't give this school one star at all. Thank you for reading my post, I hope it helps your child avoid this very biased and degrading atmosphere.
